MS. WILLIAMS

I attended Serena Williams' NYFW after-party and had a great time. Atop the Empire Hotel, there was a semi-open bar, freebies, and the best part: Serena herself.

 

I wore a mid-length burgundy dress with leather boots and a bright lip. 

 

I didn't get a photo with Serena, but I was sure as heck fan-girling(above). She has been my inspiration and has opened my eyes. I've watched here since 2002 and have realized that not every mistake is a big deal (& mistakes will surely happen); it's the winners and the triumphs that matter the most. Because of her example and others in my life, I know not to let a loss knock me down.

 

I snapped a few in attendance: Jill Zarin, Tashera Simmons(& friend), + my favorite Long Island princess, Ashlee White. Overall, I had a memorable night and I'm already looking forward to the Fall 2015 collections.
