Hair & OOTN - ArtMobb

This hairstyle was super last minute and it turned out quite well. I worked with week-old hair that had been stretched and in a bun throughout the work week.

Products Used:
Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Protective Spray
Bella Curling Wand

To prep, I sprayed my hair with the heat protectant then showered with my hair uncovered and in two large, rough bantu knots. I let the steam coat my hair to make it more pliable, then after applying my makeup, I took down the knots and maneuvered my hair into the shape I like (deep side part).
I took large top sections of hair and left them on the wand for about 4 seconds. This let me ignore the mass of uncurled hair underneath and get the appearance of voluminous, beautifully messy curls.
I don't usually use heat on my hair, but I find that a couple of quick curls here and there give my style a fresh edge. It doesn't take very long and I can wear my natural hair with pride and a smile. (No worrying about tracks showing! lol Referring to this style I wear.)

For this night, I wanted to look poised and smart with hints of maturity and class. I kept things streamlined and simple, wearing a deep burgundy midi dress, statement necklace, heels and a clutch.

This midi comes in black and light blue as well and it has the potential to be versatile. I'm on a mission to spice up my work wardrobe and I've got some DIYs cooking up.
Hasta Pronto!
